San Jose
Day 1: Costa Rica Welcomes You!
Bienvenidos a Costa Rica!
Once you pass through immigration and customs, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our travel representatives with a sign bearing your name.
You will be driven to your hotel in San José and given your welcome kit. You will have some time to relax after your flight. Maybe you would like to take your first stroll around the streets!

Day 2: Go Adventuring at Pacuare
Today you can enjoy tropical whitewater rafting at the Pacuare River Ecolodge. Treat yourself to an exceptional adventure vacation experience, combining rafting with a stay at the remote Ecolodge nestled in the rainforest on the banks of the Pacuare River.
From the Ecolodge, you can enjoy zip-lining through the canopy, rainforest hikes with naturalist guides, self-guided walks to waterfalls and pools, relaxing in a hammock overlooking the beautiful Pacuare River, and birdwatching.
Dine in the open air with wine, exceptional meals, more stars than you can imagine, and the vibrant sounds of the jungle.

Day 3: Try the Thrill of Whitewater Rafting
Spend the day unwinding at the hotel, and find out about additional adventures available in the region.
Rated one of the top rivers in the world for rafting, the Pacuare lets you experience the beautiful nature of the rainforest as you raft. The warm water, cascading waterfalls, and brilliantly colored plants, animals, and birds indulge your senses on every level.
Add in two sections of the exciting Class III-IV whitewater rapids and you have a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that last long after you’ve returned home.

Day 4: Visit the Magnificent Arenal Volcano
Today you will travel to the Arenal Volcano, which is located in La Fortuna. It is the most iconic volcano in Costa Rica and is a perfectly conical volcano.
Since July 29, 1968, when Arenal Volcano first erupted and destroyed the town of Tabacón, visitors have been coming to witness the earth rumble and the lava flow from afar.
One of the most popular reasons to visit Arenal Volcano (besides all of the adventure activities in the area) is the wonderful volcano-heated hot springs that come from the geothermal activity beneath Arenal.

Day 5: Go Rappelling at Arenal
Today you will embark on the canyoning tour "Lost Canyon".
Start off the adventure by getting into your harness and putting on your rappelling gear, helmet, and gloves. Next, your guides will give you a thorough safety talk about proper techniques and rappelling moves. Then try a practice rappel down an easy, 15 ft. waterfall, so you get the hang of it.
Remember to use your arms and legs! You’ll descend down five more waterfalls until you get to the grand finale--the biggest waterfall, which is over 210 feet tall! The water will splash all around you as you make it to the bottom.
It is then a short 10-minute walk up the side of the canyon to where tropical fruit and water await you. Later, have a delicious home-cooked lunch.
Arenal - Monteverde
Day 6: Soak in Verdant Monteverde
Monteverde is Costa Rica’s green jewel, an environmental amusement park where nature rules and conservation is part of everyday life. Monteverde is a bird and orchid lover’s paradise.
As many as 91 species of migratory birds are known to stop in Monteverde, and it has the largest number of orchids in the world, with 34 of 500 species newly discovered.
The famous Quetzal resides in the cloud forests of Monteverde, which means ¨Green Mountain¨ in Spanish--a name that couldn’t be more appropriate.

Day 7: Marvel at the Gorgeous Cloud Forests
After breakfast, you will discover the cloud forest in a very special way. You'll start with the walkways tour, which is approximately 3 kilometers long and includes a combination of trails and bridges. You will have the opportunity to explore all the levels of the cloud forest.
After completing the walkways tour, the guides will prepare you for the zip-line course. After this, you will get to the rappel part, where you will have the opportunity to descend vertically for 15 meters. The total tour has 12 cables and 16 platforms.
You will fly through the top of the trees by zipping through three more zip-lines, which will take you to the “Tarzan Swing”, one of the most exciting parts of the tour!
Monteverde - Santa Teresa
Day 8: Travel to Beautiful Santa Teresa
Make your way from Monteverde to Santa Teresa today. Santa Teresa is a booming new travel destination in Costa Rica, attracting beach lovers and surfers to its broad, white-sand beaches with world-class surfing waters.
Since the jungle hugs the shore, you can find lots of shady hideaways on the beach. Other activities offered in Santa Teresa and Mal Pais include boat tours, fishing, and snorkeling.

Day 9: Relax at the Stunning Santa Teresa Beach
Enjoy your day relaxing at your hotel, and ask your travel consultant about the many optional activities that are offered in the area. Santa Teresa has many things to do if you want some thrills.
Stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding, and canopy tours on the edge of the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve are all popular options!

Day 10: Discover Glamorous San Jose
Today, you will explore the bustling capital of San José, where you can encounter the warmth and friendliness of Costa Rican citizens.
Spend a day relaxing at your hotel or take a historic tour around the city to visit museums or the National Theater.
There are also plenty of activities in the surrounding areas, like coffee tours, volcano hikes, and adventure trips.
